  • Thermocycler, master mix equipment, horizontal and vertical gel systems – for basic studies on RNA and proteins
  • Refrigerated centrifuges and microplate readers (absorbance, fluorescence and luminescence) – for biochemical and quantification analysis

Location: Cell Biology Department, UFPR

Plataforms of Carlos Chagas Institute, Fiocruz – PR

Plataforms:

  • Flow cytometry – FACSCanto II and a FACArea II
  • Microscopy – confocal fluorescence microscope (Leica SP5) and a transmission electron microscope (JEOL) and a scanning electron microscope (JEOL)
  • Mass spectroscopy – nanoLC chromatographs and mass spectrometer (Orbitrap)
  • Protein engineering platform – ÄKTA (UPC and Pure), spectrophotometer (circular dichroism and luminescence), semi-automated protein crystallization system and stereoscopic microscope for analysis of crystals
  • DNA analysis – SOLiD4, Ion PGM and Ion Proton equipment.

Access to these plataforms requires the registration of the research project and previous contact with the chair of each platform. Schedule obeys the same rules established for FIOCRUZ researchers.
